Using Activated Charcoal Powder to Whiten Your Teeth

Using Activated Charcoal Powder to Whiten Your Teeth

Teeth whitening can be done with a lot of different methods, such as a toothpaste application or even with tooth whitening toothbrushes. A very effective and inexpensive way to whiten your teeth is to use activated charcoal powder to get the job done. But how do you get rid of that yellowed and discolored teeth? Well, if you use activated charcoal powder and a toothbrush, it will give you a really good smile! The activated charcoal will not only whiten your teeth but will also fight plaque, bacteria and other bad breath problems. It will help fight bacteria that is on your teeth and plaque that is lodged in between your teeth.

Activated Charcoal Powder

When you first put the powder on your toothbrush and brush your teeth, allow it to sit for about 5 minutes after brushing. You should then rinse it off thoroughly. You want to make sure that you rinse it all off the charcoal powder. This is a good thing because it will scrub away any bacteria or plaque that may be on your teeth. However, if you let the powder sit on your teeth for a longer period of time it can cause a staining effect on your teeth. You should rinse your mouth out with water after using the toothbrush and never brush your teeth with an empty mouth.

It is important to remember that when you use activated charcoal powder, you should always rinse your mouth out with plenty of water. If you ignore this and brush your teeth with an empty mouth, it will cause a stain and the same goes for those bad breath smells that some people experience after brushing their teeth with the toothbrush and then letting the charcoal powder sit on their teeth for a longer period of time. These stains are called amalgam stains and they are hard to remove.
